in Portland,OR at 3557 SE Hawthorne Blvd. We share a parking lot with Umpqua Bank and Goodwill Boutique

and have our own parking spots for easy pick up.

We are happy to take custom orders for parties, businesses, graduations, baby or wedding showers, and weddings. All our flavors are available everyday, but occasionally we might sell out of a particular flavor. Call ahead during regular business hours and place your order to make sure you get your favorites. No minimums. Order one or 1,000!

Please note-

Our Toadstool® dessert is a dairy based product and is perishable. They must be refrigerated promptly and be kept refrigerated until served. They will stay fresh for 3 days from purchase properly refrigerated. They may also be frozen to extend their shelf-life. All our menus, promotional materials and cupcake boxes that leave our bakery clearly display this warning. Our staff is thoroughly trained  to inform and educate customers if they are planning large events such as weddings or  corporate meetings where onsite refrigeration must be provided, or if they are travelling for extended periods of time without refrigeration. (In that case we sell insulated totes with ice packs to keep them cold.)

Food safety is a shared responsibility between us and our customers. We are expected to meet state and federal standards and expect our customers to be as accountable  in regard to transporting and storing our perishable products to avoid any unnecessary health risks.

Once you leave our bakery, you are accepting the responsibility for the safe transportation and refrigeration of our Toadstool® desserts until they are served. Toadstools will not issue a refund or credit if these guidelines are not followed.

A brief history lesson... 

   The English take claim to the first mention of "cupcakes" in 1796. Their tiny "fairy" tea cakes were often baked in individual pottery cups.

   The first chocolate truffle was thought to have been created in 1895 by the French. Their ball shaped confection was made with a flavored cream filling and then rolled into cocoa or nut powder.

   Who would have thought, that 120 years later these two European classics would be combined to create an original American dessert...the Toadstool Cupcake!

   "Our daughter came up with the idea of rebranding our cupcake shop," says the owner of Toadstool Cupcakes.  "We were ready to open our second shop in Eugene, Oregon in the fall of 2013 and she literally woke up from a dream where she saw a toad standing next to a cupcake shaped like a mushroom and said, Dad you're now Toadstool Cupcakes." She and her husband designed the new logo and my wife and I were challenged to create a dessert to match. We put our 25 years of baking to the test, and we re-invented the cupcake." They were an instant success and their family owned bakery was voted one of Eugene's favorite dessert places.

Toadstool Cupcakes opened in the Hawthorne District in Portland on April 4th, 2016 after remodeling the former Subway located at 3557 SE Hawthorne Blvd.  Since then, they have become Oregon's top rated cupcake shop with rave reviews on Yelp and Google.  

All the cupcakes are baked on site, handmade, home grown and harvested daily and of course...are toadally cool!
